When to Come
Kafunta River Lodge is open all year round and each season brings unique sights and experiences.
The winter nights, June and July, are cool and sometimes cold, with warm and pleasant days. June is the coldest month.
September to December brings hot days and warm nights. October is the hottest month.
First occasional short rain showers start in November, while from January to March sometimes heavy but usually short afternoon showers occur. Rains do not occur daily and never last more than a few hours, allowing you to enjoy game drives and birding to the full extent.
In the peak of the rainy season, from January to early April, short and heavy rainstorms occur mainly at night.
