We
Really had a great time in Kafunta River Lodge and Island
Bushcamp, Josephat knows a lot and specially knows how
to handle with different people, Sometimes on a walking
safari, Guest really don't know about danger with animals,
specially when they want to touch the animal like a
Hippo...let Josephat handle it for you and everything
will be allright.
And last but not least : the cooking in the lodge and
in the Bushcamp are the best you can get..............
Met vriendelijke groet,
Dearest regards

"Dear
Anke and the Kafunta Staff.
A short clients' comment from us up North.
We spent 4 extraordinary days at Kafunta in July 2005.
Actually we did not know about The Island Bushcamp untill
Greg just took us there after a very short negociation.
The Island Bushcamp was a pearl to us: Our first encounter
with open cottages in the bush - the only separation
between us and nature being the mosquito-net. The exclusive
isolation and close contact with the animals together
with the very special sunsets observed from the tip
of the island made it an unforgetable experience for
us.
Actually we decided to come back - and have made a reservation
for 3 days in December 2005.
The Luangwa has something unique to offer all Africa-lovers.
And The Kafunta does well."

Leopard:
This
is a story we will never forget. We were on our eveningdrive
with
Martin and we were looking at some herds of elephants
that were crossing the
river (what was left of it in oktober) and Wim heard
some noise in the
background. All the impala's were looking at the same
direction. And we went
to have a look. In het grass we found a leopard with
a kill. We were so
close to her, but almost couldn't see her because off
the tall grass.
Finally see decided to stand up and then we saw how
beautifull she was. It
was for us very special because it was the first time
we saw a leopard in
Africa.
Anke en Ron thanks for the really nice time with you
at Kafunta Lodge and
also at the bushcamp with Joseph. But it was extremely
hot.
Elephant picture:
I
like this picture very much because of the little elephant
that is trying
to hide behind her mother, you almost can't see her
because of the
camouflage, but if you look close you will see the little
one.
I took the picture on the morning gamedrive. We were
so close to the
elephants and they just stayed there drinking en doing
what they wanted to
doo. A very beautifull site.
Wild
dogs:
This
is a picture we made of the wild dogs, it was a very
exeptional experience to meet the wild dogs in oktober
and we were so excited that we stayed there for at least
one hour. With many thanks to Martin who spotted them
for us.
